Media & Political Counsel P/L was founded by Ian Hanke who has had more than 20 years experience in federal and state politics.

He has been involved in more than 20 federal and state political and local government campaigns in a variety of roles ranging from campaign director to tactician. He has also worked for federal and state politicians as a chief of staff, political advisor and as a media advisor.

He has a comprehensive overview of the media and political issues that dominate the Australian political debate.

Mr Hanke also has international experience in assisting emerging democracies with their communications requirements.

As well he lectures at the Canberra based Centre for Democratic Institutions on media and communications and campaign messaging. The CDI assists government and politicians from the Asia Pacific region in developing their democracies.
